*Indicative usable energy calculated from nominal capacity and the stated depth of discharge (90% for EP6, EP12 and CQ7; 95% for T58 V3), before inverter losses. MIRA and SigenStor usable figures are quoted in the linked datasheets. Figures refer to the models shown below. Actual available energy varies with temperature, age and settings. Expansion limits depend on the inverter, approved configuration and manufacturer requirements; adding modules later requires a compatibility check. Backup operation needs additional equipment and a suitable system design.
A little clarity goes a long way
Compare the right numbers.
A bigger number isn’t always a better fit. Here are three useful things to look for.
kW is power.
How quickly electricity can be generated, delivered or used. Inverter and battery power affect what a system can run at once.
kWh is energy.
How much a battery can store. Nominal capacity is the headline figure; usable capacity is the portion available within its operating limits.
The system matters.
Panels, inverter, battery and charger need to work together. We check compatibility, roof space, electricity supply and your daily usage.
01 / Inverters
Inverters. Your energy, connected.
An inverter turns electricity from your solar panels into power your home can use. Hybrid models also manage compatible batteries; AC-coupled models add storage to an existing system.

Your questions, answered
Feel clear before
you choose.
Straightforward answers to the questions that help you make a confident decision.
Can I add a battery to my existing solar panels?
Often, yes. An AC-coupled battery system can work alongside an existing solar inverter, or a compatible hybrid inverter may be an option. We check your current equipment, usage and available space before recommending a route.
Can I have a home battery without solar panels?
Yes. A suitable battery and inverter can charge from the grid and supply stored electricity later. The potential benefit depends on your tariff, consumption, system losses and how the battery is controlled. Explore batteries without solar panels.
How much battery storage do I need?
We start with when and how much electricity you use, how much solar you generate, your tariff and your plans for an EV or heat pump. We compare usable capacity and charge/discharge power, rather than choosing a battery on capacity alone.
Will a battery keep my home running during a power cut?
Only if the system is designed and installed for backup. Compatible batteries, inverter settings and additional switching or gateway equipment may be needed. We will explain which circuits can be supported and the limits of the proposed system.
Can an EV charger use electricity from my solar panels?
A compatible solar-aware charger can adjust charging around available generation when correctly configured. How much solar reaches the car depends on household demand, the vehicle, charging settings and any battery in the system.
Can I mix different battery and inverter brands?
Not every combination is supported. Battery voltage, communications, firmware and manufacturer compatibility lists all matter. We confirm the exact models and configuration as part of your system design.
Do the solar panels generate their rated wattage all day?
No. Panel wattage and efficiency are measured under standard test conditions. Real generation changes with daylight, temperature, orientation, shade and installation design. We assess your roof and expected annual generation when preparing a proposal.
