HOME BATTERY STORAGE • NO SOLAR NEEDED

Cheaper power.
Stored for later.

Take back control of your energy costs. Charge a home battery when your electricity tariff is cheaper, then use that stored energy through the day and evening.

Real Sunergy installation. Your system is sized around your home.

Your roof can stay as it is.

Battery storage can work independently of solar panels.

Make your tariff work harder.

Move suitable electricity use into a cheaper charging window.

Advice from real installers.

From system design to commissioning and handover.

HOW OFF-PEAK BATTERY CHARGING WORKS

Charge at the cheaper rate.
Use it when you need it.

The same home. The same everyday routines. A smarter time to buy your electricity.

01

Charge when it costs less.

Your battery takes electricity from the grid during the lower-cost hours on your tariff. We help set the charging schedule.

YOUR OFF-PEAK WINDOW
02

Keep it ready for later.

The stored energy waits in your battery, ready to supply your home when your electricity rate rises.

ENERGY IN RESERVE
03

Get on with your day.

Your battery supplies household demand within its power and capacity limits. The grid tops up when needed.

EVERYDAY ELECTRICITY
WHAT COULD YOU SAVE?

A useful saving starts
with your actual usage.

The saving comes from the difference between your higher and lower electricity rates, after allowing for energy lost when charging and discharging.

In this example, 10 kWh bought at the peak rate costs £2.80. Delivering the same amount through the battery costs around 78p to charge. That is roughly £2.02 per day saved on that energy.

Illustrative rates, not a current tariff quote. Assumes the same daily use for 365 days. Actual savings depend on your tariff, usable capacity, controls and performance. Excludes installation cost, degradation, and changes to standing charges or rates for other electricity use.

BATTERY OPTIONS

Good equipment.
The right fit for your home.

We install FOX ESS, SolaX and Sigenergy. Your quote will explain the exact battery, inverter, usable storage, warranty and any optional extras.

FOX ESS

Flexible storage for everyday life.

A range of battery capacities and inverter options, with app monitoring and scheduled grid charging.

SOLAX

A system that fits your plans.

Battery and inverter options for grid charging, existing solar or a future solar installation.

SIGENERGY

Connected home energy.

Modular storage and app controls, with compatible backup equipment available as part of the design.

Product images show representative ranges. We will confirm the model and configuration in your proposal.

DESIGNED AROUND YOU

Start with how you use
electricity. Then size
the battery.

A bigger battery is only useful if you can regularly charge it cheaply and use the energy it stores.

We assess a suitable location for the chosen equipment. Outdoor suitability, clearances and temperature limits depend on the model.

CHOOSING YOUR TARIFF

You need a suitable tariff.
You don’t need an EV.

Some off-peak tariffs are available without an electric car. Others, including Octopus Go, have EV eligibility requirements.

Fixed off-peak hours

A set cheaper window is straightforward to schedule. We check the price difference and whether the battery can recharge in time.

Half-hourly prices

Tariffs such as Agile Octopus change price through the day. Automatic price-led charging needs a compatible control integration; a simple timer does not select the cheapest slots itself.

Smart tariffs typically need a compatible communicating smart meter. Eligibility, prices and integration support can change.

YOUR QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

Good questions.
Clear answers.

Want to talk through your own home? Our team can help.

Yes. A battery-only system charges from the electricity grid and supplies your home later. It needs a suitable battery inverter and electrical installation; solar panels are optional.

Yes, suitable systems can combine stored solar energy with off-peak grid charging. We check your existing inverter, metering and any Feed-in Tariff arrangements before recommending a design. Explore adding battery storage to existing solar.

Only if the system has been designed and installed for backup. Compatible changeover equipment and additional electrical work may be needed. We agree which circuits can be supported, and how much reserve energy to keep, before installation.

Battery capacity determines how much energy can be stored. Inverter power determines how much can be supplied at one time. High-demand appliances may still draw some power from the grid, so we size both around your home.

A charging timer follows the hours we set. Choosing the cheapest changing half-hourly prices automatically requires a compatible tariff or control integration. We explain what the proposed system supports.

Often, but compatibility and expansion limits vary. Tell us about your plans at the design stage so we can recommend suitable equipment and explain the options. Explore solar panel installation.

Battery capacity gradually reduces with age and use. Warranty terms vary by brand and model and can include cycle or energy-throughput limits. Your proposal will include the applicable manufacturer warranty.

In normal grid-connected operation your home draws electricity from the grid as usual. The battery can recharge during the next scheduled window. Backup during a power cut is limited by the stored energy available.

YOUR NEXT STEP
